The Best Movies To Watch This Thanksgiving

November is the month of Thanksgiving. It is one of the most anticipated months of the whole year. This would include February for Valentine’s Day, The Fourth of July, Halloween in October and Christmas, and New Year’s Eve in December.

The Thanksgiving Season

Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for all the little things in life. It’s a time when people gather with their friends and family and spend quality time with one another. Although the most memorable part of the holiday is the food, the engagements should be top of the list. Speaking of lists I have created a list of a few of the best movies to watch this Thanksgiving holiday. Many of these are probably already some of your favorites. Others will be something to watch in order for you and your family to create new memories.

I tried my best to come up with movies that the whole family will love. They depict various scenarios in which we should either be thankful for what we have or blessed beyond measure. Some of them are tear-jerkers I will admit. A few others bring a sense of comedic relief that will fill your spirit with togetherness. These movies will surely be worthwhile as you ease your way into the Christmas season. I hope you enjoy and have a Happy THANKSGIVING from my home to yours.

A Thousand Words

The movie A Thousand Words feature Eddie Murphy and Kerri Washington as the main characters. Eddie Murphy is portrayed as the leading role of Jack McCall. During the movie, Jack finds an unusual tree in his yard after meeting with a spiritual guru. He later discovers that with each word he speaks, a leaf drops from the tree. Eventually, Jack refuses to speak at all. He does this because he believes that his silence will keep the tree, and him, alive.

His choice to be silent in turn tends to cause turmoil in his work. This also causes strain on his marriage and his friendships. Would he finally figure out a way to ensure his survival or should he just live his life like it’s golden while he can? The appearance of the tree holds a very valuable lesson on the consequences of every word he speaks. That’s if he ever gets to speak again. In the movie of course. I think this is an extremely great movie to watch this Thanksgiving.
