There are many different hair dryers available for most or all of your hair needs. They are made for specific hair types, hair textures, and hairstyle outcomes. When you begin shopping for such a device there are four main “Types” of hair dryers available. These are the most popular and standard makes of these drying devices. These drying devices and equipment fall into one of four categories which are hooded, handheld, travel-size, and bonnet dryers.
Handheld Blowers
The Handheld drying device is the most commonly used type of hair dryer. This is the simplest form for use and the most popular. These types are lightweight which makes them very convenient to use. The handheld blow dryer is simple in structure, with additional accessories to make use easier. They typically have a motor along with heating wires inside the body. The motor’s propellers generate airflow which is heated by the wires. The airflow speed and blow-drying temperatures can be changed by the buttons on the handle.
The Bonnet Dryer
Bonnet hair dryers are becoming more popular in the beauty world. Bonnet dryers are similar to a standard hooded hair dryer. The only difference is that these dryers are portable. These hair dryers may or may not have a stand included and are typically less expensive. The hooded part of the dryer is made out of a softer material and inflates when turned on.
Some of these have a device that hooks the bonnet and hose to the machine that inflates the bonnet with warm or cool air. Other bonnet dryers only consist of the bonnet and hose which can be hooked to your standard blow dryer. They work by drying the hair evenly all around the head and are especially great for curly hair, rollers, and intensifying hair treatments.
Travel Hair Dryer
A travel hair dryer is usually created with a more compact design. They are smaller in shape and lighter in weight. These types of hair dryers usually will have a folding handle and come in small bags or carrying cases. They are perfect for people who like to bring these items along with them when traveling. They don’t take up much space and can be used where ever an outlet is available. Some types of travel dryers include the following:
Hooded Hair Dryer
The hooded Hair Dryer is a beauty salon equipment staple. These types of dryers are created with a chair that allows customers to sit under. This hooded hair dryer style offers clients precise drying time and drying temperature. They are not suitable for quick blowouts or hair strengthening at length. They provide the most comfortable drying method for people who have thick and long hair that may need additional drying time.
This dryer style tends to be more on the bulkier side which causes it to be very space-consuming. One benefit of this is that it makes them harder to move and more durable. To make these hooded hair dryers more portable, some hooded hair dryers feature a stand and wheels. This allows people to easily move them and change the height of the hair dryer hoods.
